Starting Off the New Year With A Bang or...

If 2010 wasn't a very good year—and personally, I think it was a wonderful year for us with our first great grandchild—I hope this year will bring you blessings beyond measure.

I certainly try not to bore in my blog. But being a realist, I'm sure some of you are. Sorry about that, but I can't always be humorous, witty, of good cheer, funny and your ONLY entertainment. But first things first. And when I tell you to keep reading or to watch out for something or that something is coming I think you'll like, then you had better listen up. (This is for my new readers. My OLD readers KNOW my surprises!) And, yes, I ramble. A lot. ;-)

Just a couple of pix of Caroline. These are among my favorites. Please don't be bored with pix of great granddaughter; there is more to come so keep reading.

The photo on the bottom right is one of my favorites. She's getting her first bath and isn't quite sure what to make of it and looks as if she's saying to her mummy: "Do I have to take one every single day for the rest of my life?! I'm just not too sure about these baths." I'm sure it was a traumatic experience for her!

The one with her kitties—bottom middle—is another favorite. She loves her kitties. They walk past her now and she grabs onto them with both hands and pulls them to her mouth much to their dismay. The top second from left is one taken in my bedroom when she visited us for her baby blessing in church.

Next is this. I received this mouse pad from a woman in my eBay group called Pretty Romantic Homes. She made each one of us in the group one for Christmas. I was astounded that she would think of this, but she is such a kind and sweet person and is always thinking of others. It has all of our names on it.

Remember this post here when I made this. I decided since it didn't sell that I would do a Giveaway. It's been a long time since I've done one, and I thought that doing one at the beginning of this new year would make someone happy. ;-) So leave a comment. I'm not going to be like those people that say you have to put it on your blog or do several different things for more chances. Just leave a comment and you have a chance to win it. It's truly that simple. And I want to thank every single one of you who follow me and who leave comments. I love each and every one. Thank YOU! I'll draw the winning name on Thursday, January 6th, in the afternoon so be sure and check it out. And if you think someone else would enjoy looking at my blog, then tell them. I'm always happy and upbeat and that can make a difference in someone's life, chicks.

Another view.

A closeup of the tree.

This is perched here for safekeeping for the moment.

I have always loved that ribbon tree, so maybe I'll get lucky and win it. My children are all gone and it's very quiet in the house, but they will be returning in November for our 40th anniverary. 4. G'day sweet Connie ~
Caroline stole my heart with her beauty & her name (my daughter's name).

Our cat, Suzy, used to sit in the corner of our pendulum rocking cradle with Emery to keep it slightly in motion every time he'd cry ... never bothered him, tho ... she was a wonderful nursemaid.

I would be honored to enter your giveaway, it is darling. Thank you.

Pop over for our lovely CSN GIVEAWAY!

Have a beautiful New Year ~

    Hugs, Marydon

  13. Good Morning Connie Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful way to start out the New Year with a gorgeous Tree of Love and Happiness. I love it. You always make the most beautiful things. It amazes me.

Lovin the pics of Ms Caroline. The one with the kitties is my favorite as well. Isn't it sweet how they just know to love and protect this beautiful child while she sleeps? She is SO beautiful.

Hope your week is a good one. Please enter my name in the drawing. I could sure see that sitting on my table to start out the upcoming Valentine's Day. If that doesn't say "Happy" I don't know what does.

Many hugs sweetie and SO much love, Sherry
